Features

Carnitine is a short-chain non-protein amino acid found in animal tissues and - in modest quantities - in plants. It plays an important role in animal metabolism, stimulates the oxidation of long-chain fatty acids in the mitochondria, prevents pathological accumulations of NEFA in the blood and cells, and saves free CoA, facilitating the metabolic flux of the Krebs cycle.
