Intensive agriculture exposes animals to an imbalance in the gut ecosystem (dysbiosis), i.e. an imbalance between useful (commensal and probiotic) and harmful (putrefactive and pathogenic) microorganisms, including forms of Coli, Clostridia, Salmonella, etc.

Dysbiosis can cause negative gut fermentation (putrefaction and loss of amino acids), inflammation of the intestinal mucosa, poor absorption of nutrients, diarrhoea, low productivity, deterioration of product quality, mortality and unwanted use of antibiotics.

ALBId2 contains Lactobacillus acidophilus (D2/CSLCECT4529), a native strain isolated from chicken intestines.
